About the Artist:

Ellyse is a self taught abstract artist born in Washington state, now living in Los Angeles & Berlin. She recently was in a 6 month residency at Berlin Art Institute.

Artist Statement:

At the moment I am testing various materials. Primarily working with alcohol & acrylic ink, PVC, resin and the alchemy these materials provide. At times, the materials have more control over the outcome than I do. This is process oriented work. Color takes on a life and purpose of its own when ink is blown across the paper. I’m continually inspired by the risk, and ever curious about the outcome.
